Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor

Aluminum electrolytic capacitor is made of aluminum cylinder as a negative electrode, which contains liquid electrolyte, inserted into a curved aluminum strip as a positive electrode. It is a universal electrolytic capacitor made of aluminum material with good electrical properties, wide application range and high reliability. It is characterized by large capacity, but large leakage, large error, poor stability, commonly used as AC bypass and filtering, and is also used for signal coupling when the requirements are not high. Electrolytic capacitors are divided into positive and negative electrodes, and cannot be reversed when used.

Film Capacitor

Film capacitors are non-polar, organic dielectric capacitors. The film capacitor is made of metal foil or metallized film as electrode and plastic film such as polyethyl ester, polypropylene, polystyrene or polycarbonate as medium. Therefore, according to the type of plastic film, the film capacitor is also called polyethyl ester capacitor (also known as Mylar capacitor), polypropylene capacitor (also known as PP capacitor), polystyrene capacitor (also known as PS capacitor) and polycarbonate capacitor. Thin film capacitor has the characteristics of small volume, large capacity, good stability, large insulation impedance, excellent frequency characteristics (wide frequency response), and small dielectric loss. Thin film capacitors are widely used in analog signal crosslinking, power supply noise bypass, resonance and other circuits.
